Hello, my name is Araniera I am a year 8, I go to Taipa Area School at the far north. I am Maori and English. There are 58 student in my class! Our classroom is our school hall.I have a big family of 9 kids. I was adopted to my Auntie when i was younger she is my half a mum and her boyfriend is my half dad. They both had 5 kids ( 6 including me ).
I am really enjoying Maths, Reading and Writing. I like sports, art and talking. My challenges are to not let others bring me down. My goals for this year are to be over average in everything that I do. I need to learn more and more about my goals and my achievements. I need to work on talking English more and try not to swear.
I am looking forward to meeting my new teachers and friends next year.people say that I'm not good enough but that doesn't stop me. I am trying my best in school too. I am excited for the holidays. Mrs dormer is the person who inspired me because she has taught everything that I know even though I was new at this school. she is very helpful and generous.
What a great first post Araniera! I think your classroom space is amazing and Mrs Dormer inspires me too. Aim high Araniera you're well on the way to achieving your goals. What kind of sports do you like playing?
