Transparency art

We had to print an image out so that Sir could send it to the front office and it got transferred to an over-head transparency paper. When we had our images done we had to set up the Transparency Projector. We also had to set up the paper on the wall. After we had finished that we traced around the outline of the image we went around the lines harder so we could see the better. Some of us did our art in pastel and paint and some of us didn't.

Hibiscus Flowers

  • Jasmine, mandevilla and passion flowers grow under vines in most tropical and non-tropical regions all over the world.
  • They are also very colourful and the petals can grow up to 8-inches wide.
  • Hibiscus Flowers are in the “Malvaceae” family .
  • They also belong to the “plantae” kingdom of flowers.
  • The Hibiscus Flowers only lasts a day.
  • All parts of Hibiscus sabdariffa are edible: calyxes, leaves, and flowers.
  • Calyxes are the ingredients used to make Hibiscus tea.
  • Hibiscus flowers can not handle temperatures below 0 °C in the summer.
  • The best temperature for the Hibiscus is between 16-32 °C.

  • The hibiscus is used as an offering to the goddess Kali and Lord Ganesha in Hindu worship.
  • The hardy Hibiscus does best in windy environments.
  • One species of Hibiscus, known as kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus), is extensively used in paper-making.
  • There are around 300 different species of Hibiscus flowers around the world.
  • “Hibiscus” originally came from a Greek word called “hibĂskos” which translates Plant.
